Action Network and Candence13 Create Epic Sports Betting Podcast

Action Network and Cadence13 Podcasts

Chad Millman left ESPN in September 2017.

The Action Network has teamed up with Cadence13 to announce a new sports betting related podcast network: Epic Sports Betting. Sports fans around the world will now be able to look forward to the sports betting advice from “The Favorites” podcast.

The Epic Sports Betting podcast is the latest entry into the US sports gambling industry, which is expanding beyond Nevada in the wake of a landmark Supreme Court decision. On May 14, the U.S. Supreme court ruled that the PAPSA sports betting law was unconstitutional. The US Congress could either ban sports betting in 50 states or pass 50-state regulations, but could do nothing in between.

Since then, a variety of US and international gaming companies have signed partnership deals to work on sportsbook related ventures. Vegas Sports & Information Network (VSiN) signed with the New York Post to produce sports betting related columns 7 days a week.

FanDuel agreed to produce sports betting related content for TVG and TVG2, in a deal with Paddy Power-Betfair. The NBA and MGM Resorts signed a deal to share basketball data. Those are just a few of the major deals reached since the May 2018 Supreme Court ruling.

The new podcast content kicks off September 5 and will release new episodes three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The show will be targeting fans of sports gambling and fantasy leagues.

The podcasts will feature talent from the Action Network site, including the sites Chief Content Officer and best-selling author Chad Millman, with ex-NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz, former Barstools Sports gambling expert BlackJack Fletcher, former MLB All-Star catcher Paul Loduca, NBA Twitter personality and “Buckets” podcast co-host Rod “World Wide Wob” Perez.

Famed bookmaker Bob Scucci also appears on the podcasts.

Chad Millman on Cadence13 Team

In an interview to discuss the new podcasts, Chad Millman, who was the co-author of Gary Dell’Aabte’s book “They Call Me Baba Booey”, said of the new programming, “We’re thrilled to join the incredible lineup of podcasts that CHRIS and the team at Cadence13 have built over the past several year. They’ve been a pioneer in this space, which we know is incredibly powerful when it comes to entertaining, informing and communicating with our audience.”

On Mondays, Chad joins Paul and Geoff to discuss building a nine-team parlay. Wednesday, it is Chad and Scucci to talk about what games the sharps are on, and on Friday, Chad, and BlackJack Fletcher choose five games for the Westgate SuperContest.

Chris Corcoran on Sports Gambling

Cadence13’s Chief Content Officer Chris Corcoran said, “Clearly, the opportunity to create podcast content in this category jumped to a new level with the legalization of sports gambling. Partnering with one of the brightest minds in the sports world, Chad Millman, will allow two creative companies to build something special to match the rising demand.”

Cadence13 has been in the works with other companies in order to create several podcast networks. Back in June, Cadence13 teamed up with UTA to create Ramble, a podcast network featuring YouTube stars.
